I know this will not help very much on your current problem, but you just learned two important lessons:
- With Linux you have to be very careful what you do and what you don’t do. Linux is like a loaded gun, that will shoot you in the foot without asking if you point it in that direction and then pull the trigger.
- You should always have a backup of your most valuable files, that might include your ~/.config folder.
Both are commonplace platitudes and I’m sorry not to have better advice than that, but you just more or less deleted every configuration of every program you have installed, this is a pretty nuclear accident…

That is probably because you “mis-tweaked” the color scheme of some progs in your regular user, which is always possible but also pretty easy to fix if you know which program you mis-configured. But of course that shoudn’t be the case when ~/.config is empty, because there should not be any mis-config left ![]()
